| Here are some photos
of my torana, I am currently in the process of rebuilding
it over the next two years or so and hope to include a VS/VT
V8 with self learning computer. |
 |
This car was my first when I
turned 17. I have now owned the car for 15 years and am only the
third owner, my cousin was the second.
It was bought from Adelaide by my parents who picked it up and brought
it back to WA for me. I now hope to rebuild it over the next couple
of years including new paint & trim (possibly leather) with
a VS/VT V8 with a smart computer management system, 5 speed man
and 9"diff.
We named my son
Brock as there could be no other name for a boy in our family. Peter
Brock has influenced my life as far as I can remember. As a child
I was a torana fan so there could only be one car (a hatchback Tory). |
I have all the Bathurst videos, Brock videos and model cars that I can
get. I also went to Bathurst in 97 to see his last race and camped in
the paddock. We also met the great man himself for the second time. There
will never be another Brock.
At one srage there were
5 Toranas in our family at once, My SS, my brothers SLR 4.2(mint original
condition), his 4.2 SL, my brothers girlfriends hotted up 6cyl SLR and
my fathers souped up 4.2 SLR. Unfortuanately I can not find the only photo
of all these cars together, if I do you can assure it will be made into
a poster print and take pride of place on my wall.
Any way thanks for your interest.
HOLDEN RULE
THE MOUNTAIN & BROCK IS KING OF THAT MOUNTAIN.
Regards
Craig & Brock Elphick.
