    1967 - Holden engined Austin A30 - Sports Sedan

    1968 - Holden engined Austin A30 - Sports Sedan 
    The crazy young lad in the Austin A30 with the Holden engine certainly made made his mark.  His crude A30 was constantly under development between 1967 and 1970.  This is a picture taken at the Templestowe Hillcimb in 1968.   Peter developed this car into a very competitive vehicle and had many fascinating battles with the mini of Lyn Brown and the Anglia of Lake Manticas in the sports sedan category.
    1969 - Holden Monaro HT 350 - Series Production - HDT 
    Brocks big chance came with his drive with the HDT.  The "fox" told him what to do and even how to drive the big car.  Brock complied and thus started a long and successful association with HDT and Holden.

    1969 Bathurst 500
    A young Peter Brock got that dream telephone call from Harry Fox Firth to drive for the newly formed Holden Dealer Team at the 1969 Bathurst 500.  Poor Peter did not initially believe it was Fox Firth talking.  He thought his mates were playing a joke on him.  Peter did what  Harry said, he looked after the gearbox and brakes and brought the car to a podium finish in third place.   Harry had discovered one of the greatest driving talents this country has ever produced.
