1970 - Holden Torana LC XU1 - Series Production - HDT
Brock gets his hands on the new GMH weapon, the XU1.   Brock was able to record early victories for the little six at the Winton 1500. The HDT Brock/Bond combination will be responsible for many "giant killing" performances both on and off the track.
1971 - Holden Torana LC XU1 - Rallycross - HDT
Peter made a real name for him self in the supercharged Rallycross Torana. GTR.     Rallycross was big in the 70's and Channel 7 telecast Rallycross from both Catalina Park and Calder.   Whenever, HDT and Peter were entered, it proved to be a formidable combination.
1972 - Holden Torana LJ XU1 - ATCC
Racing Car News was a great patron for Australian Motorsport artists.  This painting by Cole Anderson shows Brock about to win his first Bathurst.  The Bryan Burt Ford entry close behind.
1972 - Bathurst 500
Moffat was the touring car ace but wait, a checky young kid in a GTR-XU1 sliped up the inside during the pouring rain.  HDT team mate Bond flipped his car early in the downpour but Brock went with it to take his first Bathurst 500 win in 1972.  Brock drive the entire 130 laps.  These little 202 engines were producing 302 hp and certainly lived up to their GMH motto, "When your Hot Your Hot".
1972 - Holden Torana XU1 - Sports Sedan "The Beast" - HDT
Completely gut an old GTR rally body, plonk in a spare Formula 5000 V8 engine beside the driver, bolt on the biggest slicks you can manage and go Sports Sedan Racing.   It was difficult for young Brock to keep this thing from going sideways down the straight.   The Beast was a very agricultural but effective weapon against more sophisticated machinery.
1973 - Birrana 273 - F2
In 1973, Brock had a very busy year.  He raced an XU1, Sports Sedans and also his own Birrana  F2.  Brock's dad, Geoff, could be seen in the paddock preparing the Birrana for Brock who won many races in it.  It proved to many that Brock had the talent to excel in open wheelers as well.
1973 - Holden Torana LJ XU1 - ATCC - HDT
HDT and Brock had the 1973 Bathurst race in the bag.  Staying out too long meant that Doug Chivas ran out of fuel down Conrod.  It was agony watching the 52 year old Chivas pushing the car up the hill to the pits.
1974 - Holden Torana SLR - Bathurst
Brock had this race shot to pieces until Harry said, "slow down" and their engine detonated
