I never had the honour of meeting Peter Brock, or know him personally. But growing up next to Sandown Racecourse and hearing the awesome V8's every year, and seeing the legendary 05 first past the post on numerous occasions,it felt like I did know him personally. He was my idol. He was a legend. Peter was the reason why I love Holden.Bathurst will never be the same. He could win a race when the car was undrivable. Many tears have been shed, with many more to come. R.I.P. Brocky, you are a true legend of Australian Motorsport.Bathurst should be re-named: THE PETER BROCK1000.

Sincere condolences to Bev and family.

I missed an opportunity to meet Brocky at Bathurst in the 80s, and I have always regretted the decision to let someone else get his autograph because I was too overawed by the thought of meeting him.

To all who knew him, my most sincere condolensces; to his family and friends, my love at this terrible time for you; to Peter Brock himself, because of you I have precious memories of my childhood with my Dad, and we are both gutted that there will be no more father/daughter time come Bathurst, 2006.

As others have said, Bathurst should be renamed the Peter Brock 1000.

RIP Brocky, you will never be forgotten.

first met Peter Brock at Bathurst last year with my 12 year old son and then again in July this year with my son, daughter and wife. The time he gave to his fans and the interest he showed towards young children, signing autographs and especially the time he spent with these kids, explaining how much horsepower and torque these vehicles had and what a thrill they were to drive. You could see his eyes light up with excitment. He was a true gentleman and in this household he is truely the KING of the MOUNTAIN and will never be forgotten.

Condolences to the BROCK family and friends

I was shocked and extremely sadenned by the loss of 'one of the family' of motorsport enthusiasts everywhere. A part of me has died today and you'll be sorely missed. I'm a 36 year old bloke and this new literally brought me 2 tears. PB, you'll allways be a legend and you'll always be King of the Mountain. WE WILL NOT FORGET YOU....
