Some
of my fondest memories are of watching Bathurst with my old man in
the late 70's, early 80's. I remember asking dad 'why does Brocky
win all the time?' I don't recall his answer but I now understand
that cream always rises to the top?
R.I.P Brocky, and as a Ford man, thanks for the 'character building'
memories.
Condolences to his family. He will be sadly missed.

What
a huge loss to us all .
A legend that will never be replaced .
What a pleasure he was to watch , meet and be a fan of.
He wasn't perfect, but by god he was d**n close. You could go and on
about him .
I hope those sponges from v8 supercars and Holden do something to
honour his memory .They aleast owe him something and the fans for
being the person he was - the legend Peter Brock . |

Brocky
what a king .. saddly going to be missed . I worked on the vol program
of your Peter Brock foundation with the cancer cars here in Sydney
, I drove people to and from the hospital in your 05 brock car , just
seeing kids faces that I drove to the hospital sure was magic. You
was sure a true champion, Going to miss you . RIP Love Cheryl |

Have
been a brocky fan since 1983.A shcoolmates dad told me about this
race called Bathurst. We were on a camp at the time and he was itching
to get back to watch the race. When we got back home I turned on
the t.v.and watched what was left of the race. From that day on I
was hooked. And decided to follow a young man by the name of.PETER
BROCK.Ironicly he won that year!!It was then i knew I had made the
right choice.Had the pleasure of meeting Peter a number of times. But
the one that sticks out was when he was doing a book signing at
myers city store here in Perth. He was only ment to be there for
an hour.He stayyed until there was no one left.Which was some three
hours later!!But that was the type of person he was.
I still can't beleive he's gone.
R.I.P
BROCKY!!
I agree that the SuperCheapAuto 1000 should be renamed.
THE PETER BROCK 1000.
Has a good ring to it.Yahoo7 is conducting a poll on this very thing
we should get behind it so it happens.

this
is somthing my hubby wrote at work last night ...he is quite devistated
over Peter's passing
The
Legend Passes
That black eyed kid from Diamond Valley,Whose memory will remain for
us all to carry.
With a passion unequalled by all his peers his legacy will live on
throughout my years.
He passed whilst doing the thing he loved most driving real fast,
But he wasn't one to boast.
The things he did for the sport and its youth , inspired us all.
We will always love you.
The mountain will miss a legend this year.
Farewell Peter Brock
The one with NO FEAR
Goodbye Peterxxxx |

And
another
On A Lonely Western Australian Road,
A Tree Grew So Strong Little Did It Know Of The Damage It Had Done
On September The 8th At 1pm
The Clouds Did Part And A Chariot Decent
To Gather The Spirit Of A Hero Gone By,who Had Stumbled And Fallen, the
World It Would Cry.
It Lifted Him Up And Carried Him High,
The God Of Speed Crying The Rain Fell From The Sky.
For There Had Never been An Australian So Fast , So Well Loved With
So Much Class.
It Pained Him Greatly To Take Him This Way.
To The God Of Speed We All Do Pray
Look After Our Friend , Make Sure He Fairs Well
He Gave So Much Although He Would Never Tell
Goodbye Peter Brock
A Legend To Us All
Goodbye Peter Brock A Inspiration That's For Sure
