I can remember first meeting this wonderful man in 1986 at symmons plains and I was only 8 and he signed my race program.

I was lucky enough to be able to take my two boys to see him two years ago when he competed in targa tasmania and he signed posters for them.

A legend yes, but a decent man with time for anyone.

You'll be missed by all.

  Peter Perfect.

King of The Mountain.

I grew up going to the mountain. I have relatives in Bathurst, they're all Ford fans, and my family are all Holden fans. I still go every year, haven't missed since 93.

I don't watch any other touring car (V8 supercars, whatever) race all year. They just don't interest me.

But Bathurst is the passion, and as a young Holden fan in the early to mid 80s, that meant Peter Brock.

Yep, as my cousin's would all be screaming for "D1ckie" (D1ck Johnson for the uninitiated, the Ford hero at the time), we'd reciprocate for Brocky when he'd come around.

I got to meet Pete on a few occasions, and had a good chat to him a couple of times in the early 90's at the "Brock Village" where I stayed a couple of years. I always found him to be a very kind and interested person who always went out of his way to make his fan's feel special too.

To hear of his passing has left me terribly upset. I'm trying to take some comfort in the fact that he truly did get to live his dream, and that he touched so many people's lives in a positive manner.

R.I.P. Peter Brock
9 Time Bathurst Winner
9 Time Sandown Winner
Bonafide Legend

My family will love you always.

You took the time to talk to a fat lonley kid from country Queensland and told him to try his hardest even when life is hard. This was during possibly the hradest time in your career when holden was about to dump you. I tried my hardest and became the success both professionally and personally that I am now; and for that I will be eternally grateful.
Rest in Peace Peter Geofrey Brock. The world is now a sadder place from your loss but is infinitley richer from your life.

My son lives in COOGEE and told me of the sad news to-day I had the great pleasure to meet BROCKY at GOODWOOD F.O.S. 2005 and found him an extremely modest and very genuine person. He was amazed to realise that people actually new him and what he had achieved the world is a sadder place with the passing of such a legend.

I am sitting in an internet cafe in Ecuador....gutted!

I have goose bumps on my arms and the realisation has just sunk in... Peter is not coming back.

The fondest memory I have of Brocky is of him taking my sister and I for a few laps of Wakefield on a slightly wet track in my sisters black and white A9X Torana. He drove it with one had on the wheel one on the stick (exactly as he had previously emphatically told us not to drive), and chatted easily about racing his A9X and what a fun car it was to get back in, even if her car was a bit looser than his original! I have never seen that little car work as hard as it did that day, he showed us how it was meant to be driven!

Peter, thankyou for that experience amongst others and for being so unbelievable kind and encouraging to my sister. You will always be remembered in our family, and when I drive that Red Brock enhanced SS UTE, I will smile and never forget what a true Australian legend you were and will always be.

Brocky! Well where to start, Thank you for your help, your advice, your motivation and you kind heart. The world has lost a true legend and we have lost a true friend.
I met Brocky through my work in NZ in 1999 he was a great guy and was a great friend that would call just to say hi, hed ask how our racing was going and give advice where he could. I started Managing a NZ V8 Touring Car team and he was always checking in on us.He would rock in with a huge grin and always had a smart remark, like your abit slow boys, or you might try reverse, itd be quicker. Yet hed try and help work through things.
P.B. Il Miss you, I know the world will miss you and i am very proud to no and to have been associated with you. Call me sometime, Id really like to have one more phone call from you!!!

Allways in my heart,
Jared McEntee

Well what a day, RIP Brocky you are certainly one of a kind. A great tribute today at Sandown and so many of your babies with the VC VH and VK models on display. It was a spectacle you no doubt enjoyed looking down on us today and it wouldn't be Sandown without rain even if it was at the very end. Hey thats sandown though.

A big warm embrace to Bev, who seems to have been largely forgotten during this period, a wonderful Queen of the Mountain for so many years and many more to come. We have lost the King but lets not forget we still have the Queen with us.

What can I say? Bathurst was awesome and a very fitting tribute. Lucky I was there early in the week so I could find some space on the tribute car and on the wall at Skyline.
Special thanks to Lewis Brock for going out and talking to the fans. I know the discussion I was lucky enough to have with him at our campsite up at Reid/Sulman was very beneficial for me.
I have put together a little tribute video to Peter some of you might be interested to have a look at.
It's not much, but I'm proud of it because i put it together myself.
