competed at Eastern Creek Raceway, outside of Sydney, in the same A9X he
punted at Phillip Island on Feb 11-12. The historic Group C's are a fabulous
category and offer exciting racing, with all the memories of that great

weekend I will never forget.
Here I was, sitting on the dummy grid in an A9X Torana race car at Philip
Island GP Circuit. The mind tries to go back 28 years to remember what

This meeting was attended by an enthusiastic crowd in excess of 20,000 fans.
There is no doubt that this golden era of Australian Motor Racing, the Group
C era, comprising most of the 70's up till 1984, cemented the fascination
with touring car racing in Australia, up to and including today's V8 Supercars.
