News Marcos Ambrose takes out the Series Championship for 2003 The first win for F%#d since 1997. The blue oval people finally get a chance to celebrate thanks to Marcos Ambrose and team. Marcos also took out the Inaugural Barry Sheene Medal for 2003. A huge Western Australian crowd also witnessed the welcome return to the first sprint race format for 2003 and the first hat trick for a Ford driver since Glen Seton had his way back in 1993. Mark Skaife and Jim Richards brought the bacon home for Holden in a drama filled final hour of racing. For Mark it was his fourth Bathurst win, two now in successive years, and a record fifth Touring Car Championship.
