When
it hits the track the Nations Cup coupe will be no ordinary Monaro,
with a hot 7.0-litre racing version of the Chev Gen III V8 and a
six speed sequential racing gearbox crammed under its swoopy skin,
massive 18 inch racing alloy wheels and a wild factory-developed
aero kit.

It
should be no suprise that Holden has gone to such lengths to produce
a home-built hybrid for the hotly-contested series, as the Monaro
will come up against some fierce competition from a fast fleet of
Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Vipers.
The
first of four cars are being built by Garry Rogers Motorsport for
a mid-year track debut.
